Day 1(Sunday) - Depart the US for Egypt: Relax on your scheduled overnight air flight.
Day 2(Monday) - Arrive in Cairo: Your Egyptian adventure begins as you arrive in this ancient city and the largest in Africa. If you have booked your flights through YMT, our representative will meet and greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. There will be a welcome briefing this evening with your Egyptologist tour guide where you will meet your fellow travelers. This evening is free for dinner on your own. Overnight: Safir Hotel Cairo (or similar accommodations)
Day 3(Tuesday) – Cairo and All Day Tour to Giza: Today, you will have a full day excursion to the Giza Necropolis to see the awe inspiring Pyramids and the Sphinx. Situated on the Giza Plateau, overlooking the Cairo skyline, you will see the Pyramid of Cheops, also known as the Great Pyramid (and the largest of the three), the Pyramid of Chephren and the Pyramid of Mykerinos. You will have time to walk around the Great Pyramid and marvel at its sheer scale and wonder at the prospect of how it could possibly have been constructed by manpower alone. For those who chose, a camel ride on the plateau is also possible (extra charge & time permitting). We then drive the short distance to see the Sphinx, the colossal one-piece, sandstone, man-headed, lion-bodied statue. After an included lunch we continue to Memphis, the capital of the Old Kingdom and then Sakkara, to visit the Step Pyramid, the first monumental stone structure in Ancient Egypt, built in 2648 BC. After our day of breathtaking sights we have an included dinner at a Cairo hotel before heading to Cairo airport for a 1 hour, 20 minute flight to the ancient city of Aswan. Day 4(Wednesday) – Aswan Optional Tour to Abu Simbel: This morning, relax in this colorful city along the Nile, or you may take the optional excursion to Abu Simbel (by motor coach), considered to be one of the most impressive sites in Egypt. Here you will visit the two temples built by Ramses II as high-architect before he became a Pharaoh. The 100-foot high Great Temple is world famous, which features 4 statues of Ramses II and his wife Queen Nefertari, each 65 feet high. Both originally carved out of the mountainside, this temple and the adjacent temple dedicated to Queen Nefertari, were raised 65 feet to save them from flood caused by the construction of the High Dam in 1965. This afternoon, visit the island Temple of Philae, a sacred temple complex dedicated to the Goddess Isis, before boarding the ms Jaz Jubilee in time for lunch and to begin your memorable 4-day Nile Cruise. Day 5(Thursday) - Aswan / Kom Ombo / Edfu / Esna (Cruise): Today, after breakfast visit Kom Ombo and explore the temples. Then, continue sailing to Edfu to visit the temple of Horus. In the afternoon, we will cross the locks on the Nile in Esna with a fun and small scale canal crossing. Lunch and dinner onboard the cruise boat. This evening continue to sail north to Luxor. Day 6(Friday) - Luxor (Cruise) / West Bank / Thebes Valley of Kings/Queens: Today you will visit the West Bank (named so due to its location on the western bank of the Nile), steeped in biblical history and containing many sites of religious and archaeological significance. Discover the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III in the area that was once Thebes, the old capital of Upper Egypt. The highlight of today's sightseeing has to be The Valleys of the Kings and Queens, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world. This is the burial place of the majority of Ancient Egyptian kings and queens and you will be able to see and visit some tombs. Later, once back at the ship in Luxor, for a real treat and a taste of grandeur, you may want to visit the famous Old Winter Palace Hotel and take afternoon tea. The MS Jaz Jubilee will be moored near the Corniche, a delightful promenade along the banks of the Rive Nile, ideal for an evening stroll. Dinner and overnight onboard cruise in Luxor. Day 7(Saturday) – Luxor, Karnak Temples to Hurghada, Red Sea Resort: Today you will visit the Karnak area, which contains a vast complex of ruined temples, chapels and other buildings of antiquity. The temples of Luxor and Karnak were built, enlarged, torn down, added to, and restored for more than 2000 years. This afternoon after checking out from your cruise boat, you will travel by motorcoach to the beach front resort area of Hurgahda. Hurgahda was founded in the early 20th century, and since the 1980’s has been continually enlarged to become the leading seashore resort on the Red Sea. We arrive in time for dinner at the all-Inclusive Iberotel Aquamarine Resort, where you will stay for two nights. Being an all-Inclusive resort means all your meals, snacks and drinks are included* from breakfast, right up until midnight for the period of your stay. (B,D)

Day 8(Sunday) – Hurghada: Today you may relax and enjoy the amenities of this luxurious all-inclusive* resort next to the Red Sea. There’s a private sandy beach, several swimming pools and 7 restaurants just to start with. The Red Sea is famous for is marine life and reefs and attracts divers from all over the world. Today you can experience some of the undersea world with our optional Submarine Reef Exploration tour. Alternatively Hurghada is great for shopping and the ideal place to try out your newly acquired bartering skills for those essential souvenirs. (B,L,D)

Day 9(Monday) – Return to Cairo: this morning we transfer to Hurghada airport for return flight to Cairo (60 minutes). Upon arrival, transfer to your Cairo hotel and in the afternoon, you will visit the famous Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 BC are exhibited. You will see the famous treasures of King Tut-ankh-amun, the highlight of which is the Gold death mask. The tomb was discovered by Howard Carter In 1922 and took more than 10 years to fully explore. Day 10(Tuesday) - Depart for Home: Transfer to Cairo airport for flight back home to the US. (B)
