Day 1

Fly to Buenos Aires

Your adventure begins as you depart the US on an overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2

Arrive in Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires. If you purchased airline tickets from YMT, you will be welcomed by a representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3

Buenos Aires - Leisure Day

Enjoy the day on your own exploring the capital, and most populous city in Argentina! With both European and Latin American vibes, this beautiful city will keep you entertained and enthralled. Perhaps head to an authentic Argentinian steakhouse, or simply spend the day taking in the art and architecture that fill the streets. In the evening, enjoyan included dinner at the hotel. (B, D)

Day 4

Buenos Aires City Tour & Embarkation

This morning, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of this cosmopolitan city with European cultural influences. Whist of modern construction and dynamic activity, it has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. Drive along the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest Avenue in the world, and pass by the Colon Theatre, one of the world's best known opera houses and the cultural pride of the "portenos," (as the people of Buenos Aires are called). Then board the Norwegian Sun, your floating hotel for the next two weeks. (B)

Day 5

Montevideo, Uruguay (7:00 AM–4:30 PM)

Resting on the southernmost point of the Riode la Plata, Uruguay's capital is a charming city full of art deco buildings and colonial architecture. See the towering Palacio Salvo, or visit the Mercado del Puerto, a historic marketplace.

Day 6

At Sea

Today enjoy a relaxing day sailing at sea aboard your floating hotel, the Norwegian Sun. You'll have 8 included dining options and plenty of specialty options at your disposable as your cruise, or enjoy one of the 11 bars on board. Of course you can always visit the spa or enjoy one of the many entertainment options. The choice is yours; indulge, pamper and relax!

Day 7

Puerto Madryn, Argentina (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Puerto Madryn is a gateway to remote wildlife preserves and Argentine Patagonia. Walk the sandy beaches and promenade that face Golfo Nuebo Bay or visit the Ecocentro, a cliff-top museum featuring exhibits on Patagonian flora and fauna.

At Sea

Enjoy the amenities aboard Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Sun.

Day 9

Port Stanley, Falkland Islands (9:00 AM–4:00 PM)

Welcome to Stanley, the capital of the Falkland Islands. Visit the Falkland Islands Museum, which provides extensive information on the 1982 Falkland conflict as well as information on the local wildlife, or walk around this small town of 1,500 people - you may even meet a penguin or two!

Day 10

Cruise Cape Horn

Truly the end of the world and the meeting point of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans!

Day 11

Ushuaia, Argentina (7:00 AM–2:00 PM)

Welcome to Ushuaia, located on the Tierra del Feugo, nicknamed "The End of the World," as the city is located on the southernmost tip of South America. The quaint town is perched on a steep hill next to the Beagle Channel. Visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park and see plenty of wildlife, or just enjoy a warm drink as you take in the unique views.

Day 12

Punta Arenas, Chile (8:00 AM–8:30 PM)

From the original name "Sandy Point," this southernmost capital city in Chile had its humble beginnings as a sparse penal colony resting near the Straits of Magellan.

Day 13

Cruise Strait of Magellan

Today sail the Strait of Magellan, named after the Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan who was the first explorer to circumnavigate the globe in 1520.

Day 14

Chilean Fjords

Formed thousands of years ago, see the towering Chilean Fjords. Witness the occasional waterfall cascade into the ocean, and glacial ice on the nearby rocky walls as you sail through these magnificent fjords.

Day 15

Located in Chile's Lake District, Puerto Montt is known as the gateway to the Andes Mountains and the Patagonian Fjords. Visit a 19th century cathedral, walk the Plaza de Armas square, or visit one of the many museums the city has to offer. Located just outside the city is Calbuco, an active volcano.

Santiago, (Valparaiso), Chile (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Today you are in Santiago, the largest city in Chile! Visit the Palacio de la Real Audiencia, and San Cristobal Hill or just wander the beautiful streets and avenues. Amazing museums, restaurants, and landmarks await you in this bustling city.

Day 20

Coquimbo, Chile (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Enjoy the rocky landscape, visit the English quarter, or try some fresh seafood at this port city's fishing jetty.

Day 22

Arica, Chile (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Known as the "City of Eternal Spring" for its green valleys and inspiring regions, Arica is a lush city amid the Atacama Desert, the driest non-polar desert in the world.

Cruise the open waters aboard the Norwegian Sun.

Day 24

Callao (Lima), Peru (7:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Located on the cliffs of the Pacific ocean, you will enjoy the many treasures this capital city holds. Walk the Plaza Mayor, or the Park of the reserve. Visit the Larco museum or the Monastery of San Francisco. No matter how you choose to send your day in Peru's largest city, you are sure to enjoy the hospitality, cuisine and culture this city has to offer!

Day 25

Salaverry (Trujillo), Peru (11:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Trujillo is nestled in the Andean foothills and is full of colonial charm. Visit historic mansions, old churches, brightly colored buildings that line the streets of Peru's second largest city.

Manta, Ecuador (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Pristine beaches, picturesque villages and a unique tropical dry forest await exploration outside Manta. Discover the charming atmosphere and colonial architecture of nearby Montecristi, which was founded in the early 1600s.

Relax onboard as you make your way to Costa Rica.

Day 29

Puntarenas, Costa Rica (9:00 AM–7:00 PM)

Sitting amid some of the most beautiful rain forests in the country, Puntarenas is a city in transition from important historical shipping port to tourist haven.

Your time at sea will soon come to an end. Now is the time to enjoy the activities you may not yet have.

Day 31

Daylight Cruising of the Panama Canal

Today you will cruise through the historic and revolutionary Panama Canal. This famous manmade passageway connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and changed trade in the Western hemisphere. As you travel, you'll enjoy the actual transit of the canal as you experience the many locks that are dotted along this passage for the ultimate bucklist journey.

Day 32

Cartagena, Colombia (10:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Spend the day exploring the artisan center of Las Bovedas (the Dungeons), Plaza Bolivar, the Palace of Inquisition, and the Church of San Pedro Claver.

Day 33 & 34

At Sea

Your last days at sea will take you to Miami as you prepare to return home from your magnificent cruise!

Day 35

Disembarkation and Depart for Home from Miami

Today your adventure comes to an end, but you'll depart for home with new friends and memories that last a lifetime.
