Germany is full of exciting attractions, from historical and cultural to entertaining. Seniors who choose Munich as a vacation destination will have no shortage of activities to keep themselves busy during their trip.

One interesting place to visit is the Tierpark Hellabrunn Zoo. It holds more 460 different species, which totals more than 5,000 animal inhabitants within its walls. Make sure to bring a camera to snap pictures of elephants, sea lions, monkeys and more.

Seniors can also visit the famous English Garden, which spans more than 900-acres of German land. Travelers can take a moment to breathe in the serenity of the area, with its brooks, ponds and swans surrounding the park. There are also four beer gardens in the area for those who get a little thirsty during the day.

For those who enjoy the arts, Munich is home to a number of galleries and museums. Make sure to stop by Maximiliansforum, Pinakothek der Moderne and Alte Pinakothek to see artwork ranging from medieval, baroque and other classic styles to more modern and contemporary pieces.
