Day 9

Juneau (10:00 AM–10:00 PM)

Enjoy Alaska’s rugged capital city of Juneau. You’ll spend the day surrounded by beauty— Juneau is nestled at the snowcapped feet of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts, and overlooks the Juneau Icefield. Multicolored homes dot the metropolitan area, and earned Juneau the nickname “Little San Francisco.”

Skagway (7:00 AM–9:00 PM

Skagway was an essential staging point for the eager prospectors who braved the unpredictable Alaskan weather and terrain in hopes of striking it rich at the Klondike gold fields during 1898’s massive gold rush. And while cries of “Eureka!” have faded in the years since, Skagway’s turbulent boom time is still proudly preserved and on display for visitors.

Day 11

Glacier Bay

Travel over 60 breathtaking miles through one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country. You’ll be transfixed at the deep turquoise of the ancient ice formations that give this park its name. Keep your eyes on the water—you might see any of a wide variety of sea life, or even a large piece of ice “calve,” or break off, from a glacier.
