Day 1

Vancouver, Canada

Welcome to Canada! Transfers from the airport to the hotel are included for guest that booked air with YMT. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2

Vancouver, Canada and Embarkation

After a brief city tour of Canada's third largest metropolitan area, you will board the Norwegian Jewel, your floating hotel for the next weeks, with time to settle into your stateroom before dinner.

Day 3

Scenic Inside Passage Cruise

Cruise along the Alaska Inside Passage and the west coast of Vancouver Island. Take in breathtaking scenery - forests in a hundred shades of green, turquoise glaciers, and evocative towns.

Day 4

Ketchikan, Alaska (6:00 AM–3:00 PM)

This distinctive and eye-catching city is built on stilts over the water. Stroll Creek Street, the former “Red Light” district with its gold shops, gift boutiques, or visit the Totem Pole Park at Saxman Native Village.

Day 5

Juneau, Alaska (7:00 AM–1:15 PM)

Nicknamed “Little San Francisco” because of its narrow streets and multicolored houses, Juneau is Alaska’s state capital. A Mendenhall Glacier tour and Whale Watching are amongst the most popular activities here.

Day 6

Cruise Sawyer Glacier

Today the Norwegian Jewel will take you into Tracy Arm to pay the majestic Sawyer Glacier a visit. Watch in awe as massive chunks of ice fall into the Alaskan Sea with a deafening roar.

Day 7

At Sea

Lean back aboard your ship as you sail across the Gulf of Alaska. Enjoy the amenities the Norwegian Jewel has to offer.

Day 8

Seward, Alaska (7:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Your last stop in Alaska - enjoy a day in and around this popular fishing village surrounded by the unrivaled beauty of the Kenai Fjords National Park.

Day 9 - 13

At Sea

Enjoy a relaxing day at sea and reflect on all the exciting things you have seen during your Alaska port stops as you sail across the Pacific. The daily newsletter outlines various shipboard activities and the ship’s experienced crew is at your disposal to help with suggestions.

Day 14

Petropavlovsk, Russia (8:00 AM–7:00 PM)

Today you arrive in one of the oldest towns and most magical settings in the Far East, located on Avacha Bay, surrounded by snow- capped mountains and overlooked by two giant volcanoes. Wander the streets of this fishing town past a quaint wooden chapel and historic monuments.

Day 15 - 16

At Sea

You have two days at sea to enjoy what the Norwegian Jewel has to offer, as the ship makes it way from Russia to Japan.

Day 17

Sapporo, Japan (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Catch a chair lift to the top of a ski jump to Okurayama Observatory used for the 1972 Winter Olympics for incredible views of Sapporo below. Or, head to the Historic Village of Hokkaido just outside the city to tour buildings dating from 1868 to 1926.

Day 18

Hakodate, Japan (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Hakodate is best known for the spectacular views from the top of Mount Hakodate, that can be reached by a Gondola, and its delicious, fresh seafood. Don’t miss the Morning Market!

Day 19

Aomori, Japan (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)

The characters for Aomori mean “blue forest” - a tting name for the northernmost prefecture on the main Japanese island of Honshu with its beautiful landscapes. Immerse yourself in history as you visit fascinating archaeological sites - like the Hirosaki Castle - ancient villages, and cultural museums.

Day 20

At Sea

One last day at sea before your cruise adventure comes to an end. Make sure to take full advantage of the onboard amenities!

Day 21

Disembarkation - Tokyo, Japan

After disembarkation, we will take you on an included city tour of Tokyo. Visit Imperial Palace Plaza. From Kokyo Gaien, the large plaza in front of the Imperial Palace, you get to view the Nijubashi, two bridges that form an entrance to the inner palace grounds. The tour continues to Asakusa Temple, one of Tokyo's most colorful Buddhist Temples, and its lively shopping arcade with typical Japanese souvenirs such as kimonos, folding fans, and traditional snacks.

Tokyo, Japan Leisure Day

Today enjoy a full day in and around Tokyo and decide for yourself how to spend it! Stay in Tokyo or join one of YMT's day tours. (B)

Depart for Home

Your adventure comes to an end today as you depart for home with lots of photos, stories, memories, and new friends to treasure! Transfers to the airport are included for guests that booked airfare with YMT. (B)
