Fly from your hometown to Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Filled with history, you’ll see the 18th century Bank of Ireland, Leinster House and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Trinity College, home to the Book of Kells is a must see, or taking a leisurely walk on Grafton Street where you’ll be entertained by street performers and musicians. From Dublin, head south to the Rock of Cashel and Waterford where you’ll tour the famous crystal factory. Next is Cobh and the Blarney Castle. Found at the top of the tower is the legendary Stone of Eloquence. Kiss it and you’ll never again be lost for words.
Looking forward is the vibrant town and surrounding area of Killarney. Drive the photographic Ring of Kerry and stop at the medieval fortress, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. Incredible views of the Atlantic await at the Cliffs of Moher before some time in Galway. Travel north through the mountainous Connemara region to Kylemore Abbey and Sligo. The estate and grounds of the Abbey will leave you in admiration of its beauty and peacefulness. Your journey continues to Belfast, with stops at Belleek Pottery and the Ulster and American Folk Museum along the way.
Two nights will be spent in the Victorian city of Belfast. A special excursion to the North Channel of the Irish Sea and “The Giant’s Causeway” will be a dramatic highlight. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is made up of over 40,000 hexagonal stacks and other puzzling rock formations.
