Days 5 & 6

At Sea

Day 7

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Your first port stop is “Cidade Maravilhosa,” the “Marvelous City”—Rio de Janiero, Brazil! Rio is globally famous for its stunning beaches, irresistible cuisine, and the soulful thrum of Brazil’s native bossa nova, funk, and samba music. Take a stroll on Ipanema Beach, or visit largest Art Deco statue in the world, Christ the Redeemer, located on the peak of Corcovado Mountain.

Days 8 – 13

At Sea

Day 14

Mindelo, Cape Verde (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Today’s port stop is Mindelo, the cultural center of the isolated island nation of Cape Verde, located off the northwestern coast of Africa. Pay special attention to the way locals speak— Cape Verdean Creole is a unique hybrid of Portuguese and various West African languages. It is protected by law—granted parity with Portuguese, the nation’s official language. Make sure to listen to some morna on your port stop. Heavily influenced by Portuguese, Brazilian, and African music, these melancholy tunes sung in the local dialect are wonderfully emotional— especially after a banana-scented Grogue, Cape Verde’s most famous rum-based local drink.

Days 15 & 16

At Sea

Day 17

Funchal, Madeira, Portugal (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

This mountainous “Flower Isle” has been a popular European destination for centuries. Discover the island’s capital, Funchal, named for the native funcho, or fennel, growing on the hills surrounding the bay. This idyllic island is full of beautiful beaches, stunning lava-formed landscapes, and lush green forests. And be sure to sample some of Madeira’s famous local wines!

Day 18

At Sea

Day 19

Casablanca, Morocco (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

The place where ancient history, classic Hollywood, and a thriving modern city collide— here’s looking at you, Casablanca. Morocco’s largest city was settled in the 7th century BC, and has grown into a dynamic contemporary urban center.

Day 20

At Sea

Day 21

Palma de Mallorca, Spain (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

Welcome to Palma de Mallorca, the island city off the Spanish mainland. Don’t miss Palma’s Old City, which you can find behind the iconic 13th century La Seu Cathedral. The charming Old City consists of narrow, quiet streets that highlight the area’s Moorish past.

Day 22

At Sea

Day 23

Valletta, Malta (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Valletta, one of the world’s smallest capitals, is so packed with history that the entire city has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite its small size, Valletta is full of sites of historical significance, including buildings dating back to the 16th century. This fortified city has hundreds of monuments within a relatively small space, making it one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world.

Day 24

Corfu, Greece (12:00 PM noon – 7:00 PM)

Corfu is one of Greece’s most naturally beautiful island—full of plant life and stunning beaches, it’s the perfect Greek island to relax and enjoy a dip in the warm Ionian Sea.

Day 25

Dubrovnik, Croatia (7:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Dubrovnik is guaranteed to be a highlight of your trip. It is widely considered to be one of Europe’s most magical cities, owing largely to its awe-inspiring Old City. Enclosed by imposing stone walls, much of Old City dates back centuries, including its spectacular 800-year-old Gothic monastery and the world’s oldest pharmacy— serving Franciscan friars since 1317! The Pearl of the Adriatic also boasts breathtaking views of the Dalmatian Coast, a stunning collection of ancient red-roofed buildings, and plenty of English speakers eager to make you feel welcome.

Day 26

Disembarkation and Sightseeing in Venice, Italy (8:00 AM)

After disembarkation this morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site that has remained a sizable, diverse, successful city in the twenty-first century entirely without cars or trucks. You are free to wander the labyrinth of canals and alleyways lined with boutiques and souvenir shops, or to simply relax and people watch over an espresso or refreshing gelato. Your night concludes with an included Farewell Feast. (D)

Take a chance at a card game or one-armed bandit, visit a show or simply relax at your hotel. Then the tour is off to see Natural Wonders and it is only befitting to start with a bang: one of the seven Natural Wonders of the world- the majestic Grand Canyon National Park. Enjoy an overnight stay inside the park giving you the opportunity to witness this awe-inspiring landscape both at sunset and sunrise.  Next, discover the sacred Monument Valley  Navajo Tribal Park the Navajo Nation’s equivalent to a national park.  Travel west to visit Zion National Park with its massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink and red en route to the astonishingly red glowing Bryce Canyon National Park showing off it’s intricate limestone rock formations created by erosion called “hoodoos."  The journey then heads northeast through picturesque Capitol Reef, Arches and Canyonlands National Parks enjoying the stunning vistas of naturally formed sandstone cliffs, arches, canyons, domes and bridges throughout.

Headed west, we travel into Utah’s capitol, Salt Lake City  and see the lake that gives this city its name, the largest salt water lake in the Western Hemisphere, the unique Great Salt Lake. with it’s nearby The Bonneville Salt Flats, famous as a site for land speed records. Majestic Lake Tahoe awaits with 72 miles of pristine shorelines making it the largest alpine lake in North America. From here it is on to California and another jewel in the National Park system: Yosemite National Park. Witness its extraordinary landscapes of granite cliffs, plunging waterfalls, towering trees, pristine streams and abundant wildlife.  Continue through Kings Canyon National Parks and view the famed ancient giant redwoods, some of which tower over 300 feet. Weather permitting, we travel through Death Valley National Park, the lowest point of elevation in North America on the way back into Las Vegas to depart for home full of memories to share for a lifetime.
