This afternoon, embark on the elegant A-ROSA Viva for the start of your relaxing river cruise on the Seine. (B)

Day 7

Rouen (2:00 PM–overnight)

Featuring a beautifully-restored medieval quarter, imposing ancient churches, excellent museums and vibrant cultural life, this cultural and historical capital of Normandy has much to offer! The Notre-Dame Cathedral is renowned for its stunning fusion of elements—it was built and improved upon throughout the centuries-long Gothic era, and reflects and fuses architectural trends of each distinct period. Highlights of the city's marketplace include the Gros-Horloge, or Great Clock, a 14th-century astronomical clock installed in a Renaissance era arch; the Gothic belfry; and the Saint Joan of Arc Church.

Day 8

Rouen (Depart 1:30 PM) to Caudebec-en-Caux (Arrive 5:30 PM)

Enjoy the morning at leisure in Rouen, then take in the scenic highlights of the Seine as we cruise to Caudebec-en-Caux this afternoon. France is at its most beautiful from the water, and you can enjoy the ever-changing scenery in comfort, relaxing with good food and plentiful activities.

Day 9

Caudebec-en-Caux (Depart 10:00 PM)

A small tranquil village in the scenic heart of Normandy, Caudebec-en-Caux is full of history and interesting places to see. Don’t miss the town’s massive church; the stained-glass work in its towers is especially beautiful. Caudebecen- Caux is the perfect place to experience what everyday life in France is like, away from the excitement of the big city. Take a stroll along the Seine and take in the ancient town’s quintessentially French joie de vivre.

Day 10

Day 10 • Les Andeleys (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)

This pleasant little town is perfectly situated on the bank of the Seine. Surrounded by pristine nature, it is known for the spectacular medieval ruins of Château Gaillard, a magnificent fortified castle strategically positioned above the ancient town. King Richard the Lionheart constructed the fortress in a single year at end of the 12th century, and its ruins remain a testament to the valiant king. Tonight, we arrive in Vernon.

Day 11

Vernon (Depart 6:00 PM)

Spend the day in Vernon, an adorable little town with historic buildings and a noticeably “painterly” beauty—pretty as a picture, it’s no surprise that it was something of a muse for Claude Monet, one of France’s finest artists and one of the founders of the Impressionist movement. Guests may take an optional pilgrimage to the master painter’s former home in Giverny. Monet's passion for color is very clear in several of the boldly painted rooms: from the intensely blue kitchen and small living room, to the dining room’s yellow walls and furniture. Most important for art lovers is the iconic garden, home to the famous wisteria-covered Japanese bridge and water lilies.

Day 12

Paris (Arrive 7:00 AM)

Today is yours to explore the City of Light on your own. Go back to your favorite sights from the panoramic tour and spend as much time as you wish enjoying all that wonderful Paris has to offer! Make time to see the Montmartre, Notre Dame, the Invalides, the Trocadéro, the Opéra Garnier, Place Vendôme, or the Louvre.
