Los Angeles and Embarkation

This morning see the City of Angels and Hollywood. Your Tour Director will lead you on an exciting city tour of highlights, including the Chinese Theatre with the famed hand and foot prints of stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Judy Garland. The nearby Dolby Theatre, home of the Oscar’s, has a courtyard that offers a picture perfect view of the famous Hollywood sign. It will then be time to board the Norwegian Star, your floating hotel for the next seven nights.

Day 5 & 6

Start your relaxing cruise with two days at sea, giving you ample time to settle into your new home and the opportunity to experience everything the Norwegian Star has to offer. Multiple dining options are available and are included in our tour price, ensuring an unprecedented variety in cuisine. Swim, take in a show, try your luck in the casino - This is the perfect time to unwind and really enjoy yourself!

Day 7

Puerto Vallarta (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Puerto Vallarta is the quintessential Mexicanresort overflowing with the charm of Old Mexico. Narrow cobblestone streets, lined with shops and galleries, provide perfectly shaded
patios where you may sample Carne Asada as a mariachi band plays. You can bargain with local merchants for one-of-a-kind souvenirs, or wander the 25 miles of golden beaches that stretch along Banderas Bay.

Day 8

Mazatlán (8:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Combine a first-class beach resort with a city that has an illustrious, colonial past and you have Mazatlán. Founded in 1531, the city was developed into a thriving commercial seaport by German immigrants who arrived mid-19th century. Mazatlán’s fortune came from importing equipment for the nearby gold and silver mines. The German settlers also influenced the local music “banda,” an alteration of Bavarian folk music, as well as the beer culture, by founding the local and now world famous Pacifico brewery.

Day 9

Cabo San Lucas (7:00 AM–3:00 PM)

Cabo’s signature landmark is El Arco (“The Arch”), a rock formation at the tip of “Land’s End.” The jewel of the Baja Peninsula is famous for its world-class sport fishing, as well as its high-end resorts and exclusive gated communities that line an area simply called “the Corridor.” Once sought by pirates for its safe harbors, the Los Cabos region of the Southern Baja Peninsula is now home to the bustling towns of San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Snorkeling gear, boats, wave runners, kayaks, paddle boats and windsurfer boards are available for the active vacationer.

Day 10

At Sea

One last full day at sea to relax before it’s time to say goodbye to your cruise ship. Spend some time enjoying the entertainment and activity options that the Star has to offer.

Day 11

Disembarkation and Los Angeles Sightseeing

It's time to say goodbye to the sea and say hello to California. After disembarkation in Los Angeles, travel west to Santa Monica, the end point of Route 66, renowned for its iconic pier and Ferris Wheel. Enjoy the boardwalk and beach views to top off your Los Angeles sightseeing.
Crowne Plaza LAX or similar

Day 12

Depart for Home

Today it will be the day that you will have to say goodbye to California as you venture back home. If you have booked your airfare through YMT Vacations, your transfer to the airport is included in our services.

Please note that this is a proposed itinerary; the actual itinerary may vary due to season, special events, or weather. Because our tour arrangements are often made a year or more in advance, YMT Vacations reserves the right to alter the itinerary. Itinerary changes are made to improve your vacation experience, as well as respond to any unforeseen circumstances that mandate alterations. By their nature, all tour vacations involve a certain level of physical activity. While YMT tours have been designed with our guests in mind and are not physically demanding, this tour does include walking and periods of standing during the sightseeing visits. You will also encounter steps and some uneven ground along the way, particularly at older, historical sights.
