Enjoy the Pacific Coast’s finest island escapes, waterfront cities, and idyllic seaside towns on this spectacular cruise tour from California to Canada. You’ll visit incredible destinations and enjoy unique experiences, starting with a guided tour from Hollywood to San Diego. From there, you’ll embark on your cruise and head up the Pacific Coast.
Your first port stop is Avalon, the only incorporated city on Catalina Island. Heading north, you’ll see Santa Barbara’s Spanish mission-style architecture and stunning ocean views. You might end up leaving your heart in San Francisco after a 2-night onboard stay in one of California’s most beautiful and culturally rich cities. You’ll have plenty of time to explore historical landmarks including Coit Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the island prison of Alcatraz.
British Columbia’s capital city of Victoria, a former English colony distinguished by historical architecture and waterfront restaurants, is your perfect introduction to Canada. Day 1
Arrive in Los Angeles
Welcome to Los Angeles. If you purchased airline tickets from YMT Vacations, a friendly YMT representative will greet you at the airport and transport you to your hotel. Take advantage of the free shuttle to the nearby Manhattan Beach area for dinner on your own. Manhattan Beach is the upscale yet laidback surf town where you can stroll the Strand. This walking path between posh mansions and white sand beaches is frequented by surfers, professional volleyball players, and celebrities.

Day 2
Los Angeles Tour & San Diego
Your first full day begins with a guided tour of Los Angeles and Hollywood, featuring many of LA’s can’t-miss highlights. View the iconic metal curves of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the ornate TCL Chinese Theatre, the Dolby Theatre—annual home of the Academy Awards—Beverly Hills, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Travel down to San Diego and enjoy a leisurely evening in California’s southernmost city. Be sure to visit Balboa Park, a 1,200-acre oasis in the center of the city with lush trails, public art exhibits, and 16 museums. When you get hungry, try some of San Diego’s renowned Mexican food. Day 3
San Diego and Embarkation (Departs at 5:00 PM)
Enjoy a morning panoramic tour of San Diego. You’ll see Downtown San Diego, the Gaslamp Quarter, and Seaport Village. The city’s oldest populated area is also the site of California’s first European settlement. Afterward, board the HAL Koningsdam and get settled in your comfortable state room. (B)
Day 4
Avalon (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
The only incorporated city on Catalina Island, Avalon wraps around beautiful Avalon Bay. A popular tourist destination for well over a century, this historic seaside destination has attracted film stars, dignitaries, and presidents throughout the years, and it still maintains its charm and allure today. Avalon is also home to many points of interest, including Descanso Beach Club, Catalina Island Museum, Wrigley Memorial & Botanical Gardens, Casino Point Dive Park, Lovers Cove Marine Preserve, and the Catalina Casino.
Day 5
Santa Barbara (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Visit Santa Barbara—the American Riviera—and enjoy its Spanish mission style architecture, mild Mediterranean climate, and stunning ocean views. Situated on El Camino Real, the historic route connecting California’s chain of 21 missions, this once humble Catholic outpost has transformed into an upscale seaside resort.
For history and some of the best views in town, stop by Old Mission Santa Barbara. The “Queen of the Missions” is known for its magnificent twin bell towers, sprawling gardens, and the ocean views it enjoys from its position on a hill overlooking downtown Santa Barbara. Closer to the water, you don’t want to miss out on Stearns Wharf. The iconic wooden pier lined with shops and seafood shacks has been delighting visitors since 1872.Days 6 & 7
Days 6 & 7 • San Francisco (1:00 PM - 6:00 PM Next Day)
Spend two days in San Francisco, one of California’s most beautiful and culturally rich cities. View Alcatraz, the infamous prison in the middle of San Francisco Bay. Marvel at the winding turns of Lombard Street. Make a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. And when you get hungry, sample authentic Chinese dishes in Chinatown, seafood at Fisherman's Wharf, or burritos in the Mission. You may leave your heart in San Francisco, but the memories are yours to keep forever!

Victoria, British Columbia (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Explore British Columbia’s idyllic capital city that proudly sports more than a bit of English charm. Much of this former British colony’s Victorian architecture still stands, including the grand Craigdarroch Castle Mansion, and magnificent Parliament Buildings. This highly walkable city is also a mecca for food lovers—try out highly creative restaurants right on the waterfront. Another great option is a tour of the perennially popular Butchart Gardens. The 55-acre garden has been a beloved oasis in the heart of Victoria for over a century, and is a thriving, fragrant, colorful year-round destination for nature loving locals and tourists alike.
Day 10
Disembark in Vancouver, B.C. (Arrives at 7:00 AM)
This morning you’ll disembark in Vancouver, regarded as one of the world’s most livable cities. Vancouver is renowned for its clear mountain views, incredible cuisine, and overall wonderful quality of living. You’ll see why so many people love to visit and live in Canada’s third largest metropolitan areas during a city tour. Enjoy the evening at your leisure. Perhaps spend some time in Stanley Park, or visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge to admire Vancouver's great cedar forest, or even take a water taxi to Granville Island. The evening is yours to relax or to join us on a final optional tour.
