Arrive in the Mile High City. Guests who have booked their air with YMT will be met by a YMT representative and transferred to their hotel. The evening is at leisure.

Cheyenne
In the morning enjoy a city tour of Denver before you head to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Home to the annual Frontier Days, it is the rodeo and railroad capital of the Old West where the westward expansion of the railway started during the Gold rush era. The evening is at leisure. Perhaps you will enjoy a visit to the Depot Plaza and museum here.

Day 3 & 4
Rapid City
On Friday, your first stop en route to South Dakota will be the Fort Laramie Historic Site along the "Oregon Trail." On Saturday, enjoy a scenic drive through the Black Hills with included sightseeing at the Mount Rushmore National Monument as well as Crazy Horse Memorial, to see the incredible stone carvings in the rock formations of the Dakotas.

Day 5
Billings
Today immerse yourself in Wild West history; begin with a morning stop in the frontier town of Deadwood, where “Wild Bill Hickok” and “Calamity Jane” once resided. Then stop at the nearby “Tatanka – The Story of the Bison” interpretive center built by Kevin Costner. Pass through the reservation of the Crow Indians before arriving at the “Little Big Horn National Monument” where the Native American tribes fought with General Custer’s Army. The day ends in Billings, Montana.

Cody
The short distance to Cody, WY this morning offers you ample time to visit the Buffalo Bill Historical Center to learn more about this American icon and the art and history of the Plains Indians — this visit is a must when in Wyoming! Enjoy this quaint Western town tonight on your own where you will overnight in lovingly restored rustic cabins.

Day 7
Yellowstone National Park
This morning continue early on to nearby Yellowstone, our nation’s first National Park. See spectacular geysers, lakes and mountains during your visits here today and tomorrow morning! Have your camera ready for likely sightings of buffalo, elk, moose, gray wolves or bears. Take in the tranquility of Hayden Valley and the vibrant colors of the geysers – Yellowstone is a feast for the eyes!

Day 8
Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole
Pay a morning visit to “Old Faithful” by the vast Yellowstone Lake before continuing south to Grand Teton, sister park to Yellowstone. The Tetons feature a spectacular landscape rich with majestic mountains, pristine lakes and wildlife. Overnight in Jackson Hole, one of the most quaint, yet upscale, mountain resorts in the west.

Salt Lake City
After a leisurely morning in Jackson Hole, travel to Utah and its capital. On day 9 you may have the opportunity to witness a rehearsal of the famous Tabernacle Choir (subject to availability and choir travel schedule) and afterwards join your fellow travelers for an optional night tour of this beautifully lit city. On day 10 explore the Great Salt Lake area.

Vernal
Today you will enter one of the world’s most predominant areas of prehistoric excavations. Located in northeastern Utah, scientists continue to find thousands of rare fossils and bones that help mankind understand what happened in prehistoric times.

Dinosaur National Monument and Steamboat Springs
Dinosaurs once roamed here and their fantastic remains are still visibly embedded in the rocks! You will visit the exhibits at the Dinosaur National Monument with its famous wall of 1500 fossils. An astounding experience for laymen and experts alike! As you leave Utah you will approach the Rocky Mountains from the west and will stop for an overnight in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Day 13
Rocky Mountain National Park and Denver
Your last day on this tour concludes with beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. We will drive through the park on Trail Ridge Road, also known as “Highway to the Sky.” Stop at the most exhilarating vistas before your tour descends again to the Mile High City for your last night.
