Day 1

Fly to Buenos Aires

Your adventure begins as you depart the US on an overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2

Arrive in Buenos Aires

Arrive in Buenos Aires, the capital and largest city in Argentina. If you purchased airline tickets from us, you will be welcomed by a YMT representative and transferred to your hotel. If you made your own  ight arrangements, please make your own way to the hotel.

Leisure Day in Buenos Aires

The day is yours to explore Buenos Aires or attend our exciting optional tour! This evening, enjoy an included welcome dinner. (B, D)

Day 4

Embark the Norwegian Sun

This morning, enjoy a half-day morning sightseeing tour of this cosmopolitan city with European cultural influences. Whist of modern construction and dynamic activity, it has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. Drive along the 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest Avenue in the world, and pass by the Colon Theatre, one of the world's best known opera houses and the cultural pride of the "portenos," (as the people of Buenos Aires are called). Then board the Norwegian Sun, your floating hotel for the next two weeks. (B)

Montevideo, Uruguay (7:00 AM–4:30 PM)

Resting on the southernmost point of the Rio de la Plata, Uruguay's capital is a charming city.

Day 6

At Sea

Enjoy the amenities aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Sun.

Day 7

Puerto Madryn, Argentina (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Puerto Madryn is a gateway to remote wildlife preserves and Argentine patagonia.

Cape Horn marks the northern boundary of the Drake Passage and marks where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans collide.

Ushuaia, Argentina (7:00 AM–2:00 PM)

See Andean Condors and the rugged beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park.

Day 12

Punta Arenas, Chile (8:00 AM–8:30 PM)

From the original name "Sandy Point," this southernmost capital city in Chile had its humble beginnings as sparse penal colony near the Straits of Magellan.

Chilean Fjords

These are some of the most magnificent fjords in the world. As your eyes work their way up the jagged walls of mammoth glaciers, you may be rewarded with an Andean condor sighting.

Day 15

Puerto Chacabuco, Chile (7:00 AM–2:00 PM)

Sculptured icebergs, soaring fjords and Andean peaks are all around you.

Day 16

Puerto Montt, Chile (8:00 AM–6:00 PM)

See the Osorno Volcano, often compared to Mt. Fuji for its perfect symmetry. 

Day 17

At Sea

One last day to relax and enjoy everything the Norwegian Sun has to offer before it is time to say goodbye to the ship!

Day 18

Disembark in Valparaiso, (Santiago) Chile

After a morning disembarkation in Valparaiso, head over to Santiago for a panoramic tour to see some of the city’s landmarks. This evening join your fellow travelers to share all the wonderful memories you’ve made over an included farewell dinner. (D)

The day is at leisure as you wait to depart for home in the evening.
