Passports and Visas: A passport, valid for at least 6 months after your return, is required to participate in this tour. Additionally, visas may be required to go ashore in several ports. As of 6/1/2018, US citizens will require the following:

  • Singapore: No visa is required
  • Thailand: No visa is required
  • Cambodia: Visa is available onboard for approximately $63 USD for guests participating in HAL-run shore excursions*. Guests who wish to go ashore independently or with another operator’s shore excursions will need to apply for an individual visa with the Cambodian consular offices.
  • Vietnam: Visa is available onboard for approximately $56-$76 USD for guests participating in HAL-run shore excursions*. Guests who wish to go ashore independently or with another operator’s shore excursions will need to apply for an individual visa with the Vietnamese consular offices.
  • Hong Kong, China: No visa is required

*Guests who choose to participate in Holland America Line’s overnight excursions (EXC Overnight and EXC Overland Adventure programs) will need to apply for an individual visa with the Cambodian and/or Vietnamese consular offices.

Arrive in Singapore, one of Asia’s most dynamic cities. If you purchased airline tickets from YMT, a representative will welcome you at the airport and transport you to the hotel.

Singapore City Tour

Today we explore the multicultural haven that is Singapore—an island city-state, highly developed trading center, and one of the smallest countries in the world, at roughly half the size of Los Angeles. Today's city tour starts with a drive through Little India, with stalls offering everything from saris to aromatic spices, to intricate ornaments. See the City Hall, the famous Raffles Hotel, and the statue of the Merlion, Singapore’s official mascot. Then visit the Botanic Gardens, home to the world’s largest orchid collection. (B)

Ko Samui, Thailand (8:00 AM–3:00 PM)

Welcome to Ko Samui, a tropical island situated on the East Coast of Thailand renowned for its coconut palm trees and magnificent white beaches. Experience an incredible Buddhist culture—you’ll see numerous brightly colored temples and ancient statues.

Day 8 & 9

Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand (7:00 AM –3:00 PM next day)

Bangkok is a city of contrasts that you have two days in port to explore. Visit glorious golden temples, the sacred Buddhist sites spread throughout Bangkok, catch a tuk tuk in the bustling Chinatown, or take a longtail boat through distinct, floating markets. Food is another of Bangkok's highlights, from local dishes served at humble street stalls to haute cuisine at romantic rooftop restaurants along the Chao Phraya River.

Sihanoukville, Cambodia (8:00 AM –9:00 PM)

Welcome to Cambodia's most important port, the coastal city of Sihanoukville. Stick your toes in the white sand beach, stroll through a local market, or take a side trip to one of the many off shore islands!

Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam (6:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Today's port is a cosmopolitan city and a true hub of Vietnam. Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is a stunning combination of old and new, with well-preserved colonial structures and relics from the Vietnam War, as well as sleek skyscrapers, vibrant markets, and extravagant shopping malls.

Nha Trang, Vietnam (9:00 AM–6:00 PM)

Enjoy a day at one of Vietnam's most peaceful beach resorts. Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Nha Trang offers picturesque vistas from its stunning bay, alongside a well-developed center with plenty of dining and shopping opportunities.

Da Nang (Hue), Vietnam (7:00 AM–12:00 PM noon next day)

Da Nang is home to the famous China Beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in central Vietnam. Use your time in port to also explore Hue. This UNESCO World Heritage Site along the Perfume River was established as the capital of unified Vietnam in 1802, and acted as Vietnam's political, cultural, and religious center under the Nguyen dynasty until 1945.You'll marvel at the remains of the "Forbidden Purple City" and the Thien Mu Pagoda!

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam (8:00 AM –11:00 PM)

Welcome to Ha Long Bay, known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone islands topped by rainforests. Junk boat tours and sea kayak expeditions give you the chance to sail distinctly-shaped and fittingly-named islands, including Stone Dog and Teapot Island. If you’re more interested in learning about Vietnam’s long history and unique culture, head 60 miles west to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital city. Rich in both local and French colonial architectural in uences, it has been called the “Paris of Asia."

Disembarkation and City Tour of Hong Kong, China (7:00 AM)

After disembarkation this morning, enjoy an included tour of Hong Kong, a British colony until it was transferred to China in 1997. Modern Hong Kong is an important business center and one of the world's most influential cities, where East truly meets West. Take a ride on the iconic Star Ferry across Victoria Harbor, and then board one of the world's steepest funicular railways, the Peak Tram, to enjoy spectacular views of the skyline, the harbor, and the city’s green hillsides. Your tour continues to the famous fishing village of Aberdeen, with an included sampan boat ride, and finally to Stanley, a popular market town on the south side of Hong Kong Island. The evening is yours to relax.
