Ring of Kerry
Those headed on a vacation to Ireland should make sure to include a tour of the Ring of Kerry in their itinerary. Not only is it a scenic route with beautiful attractions along the way, but it is also one of the most famous trails in the country.

Beginning in Killarney, the road takes tourists all over the Iveragh Peninsula, including Kenmare, Sneem, Killorglin and other small towns in the area. A stop at Killarney National Park is a must, as it is home to the 15th-century Ross Castle, the glistening Lough Leane lake and Ladies View, an area that offers a gorgeous view of the Irish countryside.

Some other attractions to see include the Gap of Dunloe, which is a narrow passageway nestled between Macgillycuddy's Reeks and Purple Mountain; the Derrynane House, an Irish National Monument that was once the home of statesman Daniel O'Connell; the Torc Waterfall, which sparkles at the base of Torc Mountain; and Skellig Michael, the rocky island that served as a Gaelic monastery in the past and is now an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
