Niagara Falls is special because it consists of three waterfalls—Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls—each with unique beauty. It has one of the highest flow rates in the world, with over 700,000 gallons of water per second, creating a powerful spectacle. The falls have a rich history, including their role in hydroelectric power generation, and offer numerous attractions like the Maid of the Mist boat tour and Journey Behind the Falls. The falls are a geological wonder, around 12,000 years old, and have moved back about seven miles due to erosion.
