Day 2

Visit to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour

This morning, after an informational welcome presentation including coffee and delicious pastries, you will go on the most popular tour in Hawaii—the included Pearl Harbor and Honolulu city tour. We head first to Pearl Harbor to see the USS Arizona Memorial. Explore the visitor center, view the 23-minute film, and pay your respects before heading off to Honolulu. Next, visit Punchbowl Crater, set in a dormant volcano, and home of the National Cemetery of the Pacific. This unique national cemetery was created in 1948 as a memorial to the brave men and women who served in the American Armed Forces, and it serves as the final resting place of over 53,000 veterans and their dependents. The next stop is downtown Honolulu. You will see the State Capitol, an 18-foot tall bronze sculpture of Hawaii's beloved King Kamehameha I, and Iolani Palace before returning to your hotel.

The experience isn’t one you’ll soon forget, with an authentic imu ceremony and delicious local foods like kalua pork, poi, haupia, and purple taro rolls.

Day 4

Fly to Maui

Your day starts with a short flight to Maui, the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. Known as the “Valley Isle,” this majestic island has 2 main peaks over a mile high, thousands of breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls and pools, 120 miles of shoreline, and more than 80 golden beaches. Maui is also the best place in the Hawaiian Islands for whale-watching in the winter months. Majestic humpback whales and their calves are common sights, acrobatically breaching in the warm, shallow waters just off the coast. Learn about the Iao Valley and Lahaina on a guided tour after you land at Kahului Airport. See Courthouse Square, home to the oldest Banyan tree in the United States, which has grown to a towering 60 feet high with a canopy that covers over half an acre. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy and get settled at your leisure.

Kaanapali Beach could be the most relaxing stretch of sand in the world—and its white sands, clear water, and calm waves have earned it the title of most beautiful beach more than once! Get settled into the resort life, where anything you want is within walking distance. Enjoy open-air shopping at Whalers Village, where you can also experience the center’s highly regarded whaling museum, fantastic dining, and free authentic Hawaiian entertainment. Winter is the peak of Kaanapali’s whale-watching season, and guests visiting during this time can often see whales from the beach in front of the hotel! Make the most of your final full day in paradise by having some authentic Hawaiian fun! Your hotel offers a variety of classes and presentations every day on Hawaiian cultural practices, traditions, and foods that you may want to participate in.
