Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour

After an informative welcome breakfast briefing, you’ll begin your Pearl Harbor Tour. Learn about the events that brought the United States into WWII at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Continue to the National Cemetery of the Pacific, set in a dormant volcano known as Punchbowl Crater. Your day ends in Honolulu with a city tour including the State Capitol and Iolani Palace. (B)

Oahu Leisure Day

Enjoy a leisure day in paradise from your centrally located Waikiki hotel. You can walk to Waikiki Beach, whose white sand and clear blue waters make it one of the world’s best beaches. Nearby Kalakaua Avenue is a shopper’s paradise, with stores selling everything from shell necklaces to designer purses. Your Tour Director has also arranged a variety of popular optional tours (for an additional fee).

Day 4
Embarkation in Honolulu (Departs at 7:00 PM)

Today, board Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America. This vibrant, Americana-themed ship offers freestyle cruising along with a variety of activities. Exceptional food, educational workshops about the history and culture of Hawaii, live music, and some of the world’s most stunning views await you on board. Kahului, Maui (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Next Day)
Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands and you will have almost two full days to explore! Known as the “Valley Isle”, this majestic island has two main
peaks that stand more than a mile high, thousands of breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls and pools, 120 miles of shoreline, and more than 80 golden beaches.
Don’t miss the Iao Valley and Haleakala Crater. Haleakala rises to 10,023 feet above sea level and is home to many indigenous plants and animals.
After your overnight stay in Maui, you can join a shore excursion on the Road to Hana Highway, one of the prettiest drives in the world. Each turn of the windy
road offers a new breathtaking view of lush rain forests, waterfalls, and the sea. Maui is a golfer’s paradise, with numerous championship courses that host major
events including the PGA Tour. Animal lovers should look to the sea, particularly during the winter months when humpback whales frequent the warm, shallow

Day 7
Hilo, Hawaii (Big Island) (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Hilo takes you back in time with its rich island culture. The town will charm you with its quaint buildings and unique shopping. Hilo is the flower capital of Hawaii, and gardens and blossoms are everywhere. Perhaps spend your leisure day here visiting Liliuokalani Gardens, King Kamehameha I Statue, Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, or Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden! (B, L, D)
Day 8
Kona, Hawaii (Big Island) (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Welcome to Kona! Spend your day exploring the “Gold Coast” in a wide variety of ways— skimming the seas in a glass bottom boat, or snorkeling below the waves. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, you can take a leisurely walking tour through historic Kailua Town or visit one of the island’s many coffee plantations. (B, L, D)
Days 9 & 10
Nawiliwili, Kauai (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Next Day)

This verdant little isle exudes peace and tranquility. Nature has been good to Kauai, creating craters, mountains and rivers, plus canyons and glorious stretches of palm-fringed beaches. Nicknamed the “Garden Island”, Kauai is the least populated and developed of the four main islands. The spectacular scenery makes it the perfect island to explore on a helicopter tour!

It’s no wonder that an impressive list of Hollywood productions have used this emerald island as a setting. Kauai is also famous for Waimea Canyon, known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. (B, L, D)
Day 11
Disembark in Honolulu (Arrives at 7:00 AM) and Depart for Home
Transfer to Honolulu airport for your flight home. If you are on a later departure, we offer an optional tour on Oahu; the Coffee, Rum, Pineapple Tour, that you can enjoy before you leave. For guests that booked flights through YMT, please do not book any activities on the last day of your tour before receiving your confirmed flight information with your final documents, approximately 30 days prior to departure. Can I arrange pre- or post-tour accommodations to extend my trip?

Unfortunately, additional nights are not available from YMT Vacations for this tour. Your YMT Sales Consultant will confirm the specific hotel related to your departure date, and you can then contact the hotel directly to arrange an extended stay.
Can this tour accommodate triples?

Yes, triples are permitted (depending on availability).
I’m booking my own flights for this tour, what time should I arrive and depart?

You should arrive in Honolulu no later than 6pm. Your flight home should depart no earlier than 12pm (or no earlier than 5pm if you purchase any of our optional tours for your final day).
Will I need any visas or travel permits for this tour?

No, none are required.
Will I need an adapter or converter for electronics on this tour?

No, guests will not need to bring adapters or converters as Hawaii uses standard 110V plugs.
What will the weather be like?

Temperatures in Hawaii range between lower 80’s in the fall/winter months and higher 80’s in the summer months (May-Sep). Hawaii has a tropical climate, but the temperature can vary depending on altitude and the surroundings. The islands receive most of its rainfall from the trade winds on the north and east sides of each island. The coastal areas tend to be drier, especially the south and west sides. The rainy season tends to be during the winter months of October to April. The overnight temperature rarely drops below 65 degrees at the lower elevations. On this tour, you may experience lower temperatures at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (in the 60s during the daytime).

What should I wear on this trip?

On Cruise
For most ocean cruises, consider three different types of clothing: casual attire for days aboard, layered outfits for time in port, and smart or formal eveningwear. Contact your respective cruise line for their dress code and guidelines for evening attire. Typically, a larger amount of nights is reserved for more casual clothing while some evenings are set aside for formalwear. Some recommendations for daywear include slacks or pants, blouses or shirts, knit tops or polo shirts. Bring a pair of sneakers or rubber-soled shoes for deck sports and a swimsuit cover-up for cool areas on the ship. As port wear for women consider a casual dress, skirt and blouse, or pants outfit; for men, casual pants or walking shorts, and polo-type shirts.

Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Also, remember to bring extra bathing suits, as well as sun block, sun visors and other types of sun protection. Formal attire can include cocktail dress, gown, or dressy pantsuit for women and a tuxedo, suit, or dinner jacket with slacks for men. Note that T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are often not allowed in certain areas of the ship, for example restaurants.

On Tour
We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater for the buses or flights. As well, please consider the range of temperature and climates you may encounter in Hawaii and pack clothing you can be comfortable in for each of them. Wearing layers allows you to be comfortable on the bus and while sightseeing.

On this tour there is a leisure day in Oahu, what should I do during this day?

Anything you want! There are so many things to do on Oahu, but we do recommend going to the famous Waikiki Beach, shopping on Kalakaua Avenue, or to the Hawaii Army Museum. You may also want to join us on one of our most popular optional tours – Polynesian Cultural Center.

Agriculture has always played a big part in Hawaii. Learn how sugarcane, pineapple, and coffee have shaped Hawaii and adapted in the 21st century. After disembarking the cruise ship in the morning, we’ll head to Central Oahu to Dole Plantation, one of Oahu’s most popular visitor attractions. You’ll have free time to experience pineapple at Dole Plantation your way. We’ll then head to a coffee farm where you’ll learn about how your cup of coffee is made. Then, our highlight is a tour and tasting at Kō Hana Distillers. Native Hawaiian sugarcane thrived for over 800 years. See these heirloom varieties and taste the fresh pressed cane juice. You’ll then learn about how these heirloom Hawaiian sugarcane is distilled into one of the finest Agricole rums in the world. This YMT exclusive coach tour will conclude at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.

Founded in 1962, the Polynesian Cultural Center has been a place of preservation for Polynesia cultures. You’ll experience all of this with your very own YMT Tour Director as he guides you through the villages telling stories of his native homeland. After dinner, head into the Pacific Theater and enjoy seats for the evening show, ‘Ha: Breath of Life,’ a story of passion and love through dance, song and fire.
