Take in the charms of the North Sea, from Amsterdam and the German coast to Sweden and Norway. Embark on a Norway fjords vacation cruise surrounded by mighty glaciers and stunning scenery. Relax and enjoy views of sheer cliffs, lush forests, snow-covered peaks, and charming villages on a trip you’ll never forget.

Your vacation begins with several days in Amsterdam, where you will see the city’s legendary canals by boat and explore central Amsterdam on a guided walking tour. Visit the beautiful German town of Bremen, then continue to Hamburg, the country’s largest port city. Explore this “gateway to the world” before transferring to Kiel for embarkation on your cruise.

Your first stop is Copenhagen, Denmark’s capital city. Here, streets are filled with history, culture, design, and shops. Then continue to Norway where you’ll cruise through what is considered one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, taking in awe-inspiring views of nature’s grandeur.

Stop in picturesque villages including Hellesylt, Flåm, and even Geiranger, whose UNESCO-listed landscape inspired Arendelle, the fairytale setting of Disney’s Frozen.

Arrive in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Welcome to Amsterdam! If you purchased airline tickets from YMT Vacations, a YMT representative will greet you at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and transport you to the hotel. This evening, relax on your own. Then get to know your fellow travelers over a welcome dinner where you will learn about the exciting days ahead. (D)

Day 3

Amsterdam City Tour

Enjoy a half-day boat tour through Amsterdam’s scenic canals, where you will see the New Church, the National Monument, and the Skinny Bridge across the River Amstel. Your cruise concludes in central Amsterdam, at which point you will continue for a short time on foot before stopping for free time and lunch on your own. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. (B)

Bremen & Hamburg

Stop for lunch in beautiful Bremen, Germany’s oldest coastal city known for its lively culture and numerous stunning attractions. Famously, Bremen’s City Hall is housed in a UNESCO-listed 15th century Gothic civic building.Continue to Hamburg, the “gateway to the world.” Germany’s largest port city is as renowned for its musical heritage as its stunning architecture. Hamburg City Tour and Embarkation (Departs at 8:00 PM)

Start your day with a city tour of Hamburg. Standouts include the glass and brick Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall, St. Michael’s Church, and the Medieval City’s half-timbered structures. Transfer to Kiel for embarkation. Get settled into your cabin this afternoon on the Costa Firenze. (B)

Copenhagen, Norway (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

The Danish capital was first established in the 10th century, and during your time in this vibrant city you’ll have the chance to learn about its storied history while enjoying the cutting-edge technology that it now embraces. If you’re interested in shopping, take a stroll through a few of Copenhagen’s boutiques. Scandinavian clothing and home goods are world-famous for their thoughtful, innovative, minimalist design, and you can make some great purchases right here in Copenhagen.

Hellesylt and Geiranger, Norway (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM)(12:00 PM - 5:00 PM)

As you cruise through what many consider to be the most beautiful fjord in the world, discover Hellesylt and Geiranger, two villages sitting at either end of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord. Enjoy awe-inspiring views, charming farmhouses, and spectacular waterfalls on your cruise through the fjords. These long, narrow fingers of the ocean were formed over countless millenia by glacial movement. They may look like clear mountain lakes, but these narrow inlets are actually offshoots of the sea. They are slowly-formed canyons, surrounded by steep cliffs and filled with ocean water, that jut deep into the Norwegian interior.

Day 9

Flåm, Norway (10:00 AM - 6:00 AM)

Spend the day in Flåm, one of Norway's most visited destinations. Located on the shore of the Aurlandsfjord, this small yet magnificent village is the definition of postcard pretty. Flam's 350 residents welcome nearly 450,000 tourists each year to enjoy the scenery, hiking, and one of the world’s most scenic railways. Winding through majestic mountains and past countless waterfalls, the 2-hour, round-trip train ride on the Flam Railway is worth every penny. There is also exceptional and easily accessible hiking in Flam. Or, for dairy lovers, the region is famous for its goat cheese.

Day 10

Stavanger, Norway (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

There is no shortage of things to see and do in Stavanger! Stop by the Old Cathedral, visit one of the fascinating museums, or stroll down the shopping street Øvre Holmegate, known for its colorful houses during your leisure time in port today. This scenic and historic town is a lovely example of rich culture in a growing metropolis.

Disembarkation and Transfer to Berlin (Arrives at 8:00 AM)

Your morning starts with disembarkation in Kiel and motorcoach transportation back to Berlin with a lunch stop in Lubeck en route. The rest of the day will be at your leisure until dinnertime, when you are invited to an included sit-down Farewell Feast. (D)

Berlin City Tour

On today’s fascinating tour, Berlin’s history and culture from before and after WWII are on fascinating display. Start with a city tour, where you will see everything from the Brandenburg Gate to Checkpoint Charlie, to the beautiful gardens and museums that pepper Germany’s sophisticated capital. You might want to try a currywurst today—the sausage covered with a mixture of curry powder and ketchup has become the quintessential German street food. Enjoy the afternoon and evening on your own and, if you choose, take one of our optional tours. (B)

Your journey begins in Greece, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus high above the Gulf of Corinth. Tour the ancient site of Delphi, where the world's most influential oracle made her history-altering prophecies. Then visit Piraeus, the classical history-filled port city of Athens. Its archaeological museum contains relics dating from as far back as the Bronze Age.

Your first stop aboard your cruise is Kusadasi. The Turkish city once held the famed Temple of Artemis, a Wonder of the Ancient World.
