New York City Tour

Today, you get to see the major sights of the Big Apple on a panoramic city tour. Highlights of the tour include the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler Building, Central Park and many more. The energy of what Hamilton calls “the greatest city in the world” is as infectious as it is famous. Enjoy an evening at leisure or take part in an evening optional.

Embark Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pearl (Departs at 5:00 PM)

Bid bon voyage to the United States and begin your transatlantic cruise! Get settled into your cabin on Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pearl, an amazing ship with countless amenities to enjoy as you journey across the Atlantic.

Halifax, Nova Scotia (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Nova Scotia’s exquisitely preserved capital city was founded in 1749; go back in time with a visit to The Citadel to see the Old Town Clock. Waterfront warehouses known as the Historic Properties harken back to Halifax’s bygone days as a trading hub for privateer ships commissioned by governments to pillage, steal and burn merchant vessels.

Reykjavik, Iceland (Arrive 2:00 PM on day 10 - Depart 1:00 PM on day 11)

Welcome to Reykjavík, one of the cleanest, greenest, and safest cities in the world. This tiny Nordic nation is renowned for its dramatic landscapes and near continuous summer daylight. Iceland has grown into one of the most desirable travel destinations in the world in recent years, and for good reason.

Belfast, Ireland (12:00 AM - 8:00 PM)

Spend the day enjoying Northern Irish hospitality at its finest in this picturesque capital city on Northern Ireland’s rugged east coast.

Day 14

Dublin (Dun Laonhaire), Ireland (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Arrive in Dublin, capital city of the “Emerald Isle.” Dublin is laid out perfectly for casual walkers, so shops, restaurants, the banks of the River Liffey, and many other highlights are easy to explore on foot at your leisure. The Bank of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Trinity College are some of the city’s biggest draws.

Paris (Le Havre), France (6:30 AM - 10:00 PM)

When you arrive in Le Havre, France, opportunities to tour the attractions of the Normandy countryside await as soon as you leave your ship, while the sights of Paris are only 2.5 hours by highspeed train. Omaha Beach, the site of D-Day, is another option for a memorable daytrip.

Day 17

Disembarkation in London (Southampton) & Stonehenge, Bath and Bristol (Disembark at 8:00 AM)

After a morning disembarkation, go back in time at two of England’s oldest sites: Stonehenge and the Roman Baths. Stonehenge is the prehistoric monument whose ring of massive standing stones was built approximately 5,000 years. Tour of some of the best Roman ruins in the world in the city of Bath. Romans started taking advantage of Bath’s natural hot springs when Claudius invaded Britain in 43 AD. They turned the site into a religious shrine that housed incredibly complex bathing areas with cold rooms, warm rooms, and a massive central pool.

The Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon

Spend the morning in the Cotswolds, a stunning rural area renowned for lush rolling hills and beautifully maintained historic buildings and villages. Visit Cogges Manor Farm, which you may recognize from Downton Abbey. Be sure to explore the gardens, manor house, and farm animals at your leisure. Continue to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, the restored 16th century home in Stratford-upon-Avon that he grew up in and shared with his beloved wife, Anne Hathaway. Hear family stories and live theatre recitals. (B)

Birmingham

Discover Birmingham on a panoramic tour of Britain’s second largest city. “Brum,” as locals call it, is proud of its blue-collar roots. An epicenter of commerce during the Industrial Revolution, many of Birmingham’s buildings date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Birmingham is also home to the architecturally dazzling Selfridge’s building, a hypermodern landmark in this historical city. (B)

Oxford & London

Take a panoramic and walking tour of Oxford, a city known around the world as the home of Britain’s oldest and most prestigious university. See the school and 1,100-year-old village, including Christchurch, Oxford Castle, and more of the famous halls and greens of Oxford University. Enjoy lunch on your own and free time in town. (B)

London Sightseeing

After breakfast, head out on a panoramic city tour of London. Enjoy an overview of all of London’s most important landmarks from the comfort of your roomy coach. The city boasts many famous sights, including the Tower of London, Big Ben, Piccadilly Square, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and more! Return to London and sit down for an included Farewell Dinner. (B, D)
