Today you will arrive in Boston. Guests who have purchased their airline tickets through YMT will be greeted by a representative and transferred to their hotel.

Spend the day enjoying Boston, the epicenter of the Revolution and one of America’s most interesting and energetic cities. Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of many of Boston’s landmarks including the Paul Revere House and Boston Common. Break for lunch on your own at Quincy Market. Built in 1826, it is among the most famous places in Boston to grab a steaming bowl of chowda’ or a slice of Boston Cream Pie. Spend some time strolling the Freedom Trail.

You will first visit Newport, Rhode Island and enjoy a tour of one of the famous Newport Mansions. These ornate historic houses offer glimpses of the lavish lives led by the wealthy elite of the Gilded Age. Next you will visit Plymouth, MA where the Pilgrims arrived in 1620 and visit a restored replica of the original Mayflower ship that brought them to our shores over 400 years ago.

En route to Burlington, visit a Shaker Village. These living history museums provide insight into the lives of the “Shakers,” a religious community that dates back centuries. They are known for their unique style of music and even furniture. Arrive in Burlington, Vermont, a quaint town with beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Join us for an optional dinner cruise on Lake Champlain for an additional fee.

Today is all about the glorious fall foliage colors! As we drive north across the border into Montreal, you’ll fall in love with the Green Mountains. The highways and byways are ablaze with vibrant reds, yellows and oranges.

Wake up in Montreal, the world’s second-largest French speaking city. Enjoy a panoramic tour this morning, where you will see highlights including Mount Royal, the imposing Notre Dame Cathedral, and Old Montreal with its cobblestone streets and charming shops.

Begin your morning with a refreshing escape to Montmorency Falls, just beyond Quebec City. Towering at one and a half times the height of Niagara Falls, these majestic cascades were the first ever harnessed for hydroelectric power. As you stroll along the boardwalk below, the thunder of rushing water surrounds you, and a fine mist hangs in the air, offering a breathtaking, close-up view of nature’s power and beauty.

Next, tour Quebec City, one of North America’s first settlements. Quebec City was founded by French explorers in the early 17th century, and retains its Old World French feel. Old Quebec’s ramparts are Canada’s last remaining fortified city walls, with sections dating back to at least the 1690s. You will also see the Château Frontenac and the Plains of Abraham. This afternoon you’ll board Holland America Line’s Zuiderdam, which will set sail this evening.

Take a stroll along the waterfront to enjoy views of Casco Bay, and say hello to Bigfoot at the International Cryptozoology Museum. Finally, Portland Headlight is always worth a stop. It’s Maine’s oldest operating lighthouse.
