Autumn Leaves Tour

Welcome to New York! Guests who have booked their flights through YMT Vacations will be greeted at the airport by a YMT representative and transferred to their hotel.

Today, you’ll see the major sights of the Big Apple on a panoramic city tour. Highlights include the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building, as well as Central Park and many more. Enjoy an optional evening experience, or spend time at your leisure. (B)

This morning you’ll leave the big city behind for the small town of Mystic. Once a shipbuilding seaport village, today this quintessential New England town boasts a rich maritime past full of charm. Then, it’s on to Newport, and a visit to Newport Mansion. Rhode Island was the favorite summer playground of America’s legendary tycoons and titans during the Gilded Age of the late 19th century. The Vanderbilts and Astors were among the wealthy families who spent summers in these seaside “cottages.” (B)

Lovely Cape Cod is the site of quaint villages, lighthouses, and beaches. We will visit Cape Cod National Seashore known for its pristine sandy beach, and wild cranberry bogs. At the end of our sightseeing excursion (included), make yourself at home in “The Cape.” (B)

Today, you may spend the day at leisure. (B)

Spend the day enjoying Boston, the epicenter of the Revolution and one of America’s most interesting and energetic cities. Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of many of Boston’s best historic landmarks including the Paul Revere House and Boston Common.

Break for a delicious lunch on your own at Quincy Market. Built in 1826, it is among the most famous places in Boston to grab a steaming bowl of chowda’ or a luscious slice of Boston Cream Pie. Spend some time strolling the Freedom Trail to appreciate Boston’s nickname, “The Walking City”.  (B)

Travel north along the New England coast Maine, stopping at a lighthouse en route. Maine is affectionately called Vacationland thanks to its exceptional natural beauty, easy-going charm, exquisite cuisine, and the warm welcome it extends to all. Maine really is “The Way Life Should Be!”. (B)

Today is all about the glorious fall foliage! The highways and byways are ablaze with vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges. Enjoy a scenic drive along Kancamagus Highway, a National Scenic Byway where covered bridges and waterfalls enhance the magnificent landscape. Visit Franconia Notch State Park, and stop at Flume Gorge for a walk through this beautiful scenery. Your day will end in the Adirondack Mountains in Lake George, New York. (B)

Travel to Lake Placid, home to the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics.  Then proceed to Kingston, Canada’s first capital from 1841-1844. Kingston is home to Fort Henry and the Royal Military College of Canada, among many other historic landmarks. (B)

Spend a leisurely afternoon admiring Niagara Falls. Take the chance to wander through the town, or participate in a few exciting optional excursions. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon on your own and this evening, join your fellow travelers for a delicious dinner in a revolving dining room which offers 360° views of the Falls (all at additional cost). (B)

In Toronto you’ll take a fascinating city tour. See towering skyscrapers, 19th century warehouses, and a bustling harbor. Your panoramic tour includes views of the Banking District, plus City Hall, the CN Tower, and the University of Toronto. You’ll have time for lunch on your own in the downtown area after a guided tour of the Royal Ontario Museum, and the evening is yours to enjoy at leisure. This evening you’ll join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner as you say goodbye until next time! (New for 2025!) (B, D)
