Take a guided city tour of Cape Town, South Africa’s second largest city. Bordered by the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, Cape Town boasts a wonderful setting with sweeping views. Drive through the city and see all its highlights, and ride a cable car to the flat top of Table Mountain.

Today, you’ll set out on a full-day Cape Point adventure. Visit Boulders Beach, where a sheltered cove of white sand and granite boulders is home to a charming colony of African penguins. Continue along the dramatic coastal road to Cape Point, where rugged cliffs plunge into a restless ocean and panoramic views stretch endlessly across sea and sky. Walk to the historic lighthouse, breathe in the salty air, and feel the wild edge of the continent. Conclude the day at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, wandering peaceful paths among ancient trees, vibrant fynbos, and the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Journey inland to Oudtshoorn, the heart of the Klein Karoo, as the landscape shifts to wide valleys, rugged passes, and sun-baked plains. On arrival, explore the spectacular Cango Caves on a heritage tour, descending into vast limestone chambers adorned with dramatic stalactites and stalagmites shaped over millions of years. Continue to a Cango Ostrich Farm to learn about the region’s famous feathered residents and their fascinating history. Check in at your hotel and unwind, enjoying a relaxed evening at leisure.

Experience the powerful story of Johannesburg, South Africa’s vibrant and complex heart, on a city tour. Begin at the Apartheid Museum, where evocative exhibits trace the country’s journey from division to democracy. Continue to Soweto, a township rich in resilience and culture, visiting Mandela House, the former home of Nelson Mandela, and the Hector Pieterson Memorial, a moving tribute to the youth who shaped the struggle for freedom. Enjoy a farewell lunch.
