If you’re interested in shopping, take a stroll through a few of Copenhagen’s boutiques. Day 6

Harwich, UK (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

This small seaside town is quintessentially British—with quiet beaches, a pair of charming lighthouses, the historic Electric Palace cinema, and the Harwich Quay, which is perfect for shopping, walking, or enjoying the local food.

Day 7

Cherbourg, France (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Cherbourg’s bustling modern port stands in stark contrast to both the quiet beauty of the surrounding French countryside, and to the events of D-Day, the landing operations that took place on Tuesday, June 6, 1944. 2019 will mark the 75th anniversary of these events that made Normandy's beaches the bloodiest battlefield in Europe. Today you may choose to join the optional excursion to Normandy, or to fill your leisure time in historic Cherbourg, perhaps with a visit to one of the many incredible museums.

Day 8

At Sea

Day 9

La Coruña, Spain (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)

The port of La Coruña centers on a narrow peninsula that juts from Spain’s northern coast, and boasts one of the Mediterranean’s finest beaches. And its tapas scene is unsurpassed—sample the wide variety of exquisitely-prepared small plates while you’re here!

Day 10

Leixões, Portugal (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Stay local in Leixões, or travel 5 miles into Porto, one of Portugal’s oldest cities and a spectacular place to spend the day. Porto was first settled around 300 BC, and since then has been captured by the Romans, the Moors, and even Napoleon. Its historic center has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is the perfect place to sample a glass of port wine—named after Porto itself.

Day 11

Lisbon, Portugal (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Welcome to Portugal’s hilly coastal capital! Lisbon is watched over by 7 picturesque hills, and their view of an ancient city with cobblestoned streets and stately ruins, combined with a thoroughly modern metropolis, is one of Europe’s prettiest. Make sure to come to Lisbon hungry, as their restaurants have access to a tremendous variety of fresh seafood and succulent Alentejan beef.

Day 12

At Sea

Day 13

Valencia, Spain (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

This former Roman colony is one of the most popular vacation destinations in Spain due to its appealing combination of culture and history— especially the ancient Serrans and Quart Towers in the medieval city, and the Monasterio de San Miguel de los Reyes. Delicious paella was born in Valencia, and in between meals, you can enjoy numerous museums, parks, and the city’s impressive architecture.

Day 14

Barcelona, Spain (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

You'll be mesmerized by this thoroughly modern city where Roman ruins live next door to sophisticated high-rises, innovative exhibition spaces, and one of the world’s most impressive sports complexes. A spectacular display of architecture, Barcelona boasts 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as a long, sandy coastline, fabulous food, cultural and artistic exhibitions, and terrific shopping. Use your time in this fascinating port to enjoy the world famous Las Ramblas, Gaudí's Sagrada Familia, Olympic Park, and views from Montjuic.
