A Tip To Prep For Your Trip
Toronto was established as the “Town of York” in 1793 by Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe. He chose the site for its strategic location, fine harbor, and potential for defense and trade. The city was officially renamed Toronto in 1834. Today, Toronto is a vibrant and diverse city with iconic landmarks like the CN Tower, multicultural neighborhoods, and numerous green spaces such as High Park and the Toronto Islands. Even in winter, Toronto offers festive events and winter sports, making it a must-visit destination year-round.
